From my travel journal “ANROALISTIC PHOTOJOURNEY TO NIEDENRSILL”:

Travelling still means money…at least, for Ukrainians…

I bet many of you cannot afford a lot of travelling as it costs money. Yes, it is, and sometimes not small money, especially for Ukrainians who live for salary or, better to say, survive. Nowadays travelling, even if planned beforehand, means saved money that can be freely spent. I have a feeling that not everyone in EU or US can also have extra money for travel. Many of us have bills and credits to pay, thus we have to think before spending a hard-earned cent. However, world develops so fast that everything looks easier now. Have you ever heard of low-budget travelling?

That’s it. This seems to be a new concept that has already worked for many tourists. Not everyone is ready to face its disadvantages as cheap flights, snoring or noisy neighbors at hostels, and tiredness from long-walks. Let yourself imagine all the advantages of such way of travelling. The number one is that you will be able to discover the places that you saw only on the pages of your favorite travel guide. The second, not less important, is that you are likely to meet new people who speak different language, but with whom you will certainly make good friends. At last, you will experience the enchanted moments of face-to-face lovely talks. Social networks cannot replace face-to-face chats. Thirdly, while traveling on a low budget you will appreciate the little things such as hot meals, soft beds, transportation after a few hours of waiting. Finally, you will pass a test for any unpredictable situations and explore yourself. Some of you may fall in love even. That’s what low-budget travelling can offer you. It is not a perfect solution, but an option. The choice is yours. All I want to say is that our wishes must not have any restrictions. I vote for “nothing is impossible to a willing heart”.

Where are you now, my Friends? Any news? I’ve got news – I am holding the proof of my book…

Waiting for your comments! Please, please…

Love you all,

Yours Writer

Apple Flood?

My dear little Friends,

Do you have a garden? If yes, this year you might suffer from…apple flood. At a first glance, it may seem like a real blessing, your trees gave generous harvests. At a second glance, you can find yourself surrounded by apples that are falling and falling…you don’t know what to do with them and you may be scared even…

No worries, today I will show you a couple of tricks how to gather your apples and store them for winter. Nope, my Friends, suggestions aka hamster method (you know that they put everything at once into their mouth) are not acceptable. We are human beings, aren’t we? So, we need to be more practical and caring.

Nobody likes gathering apples that are spoiled already. It can mainly happen due to their fall from a high tree. They are simple broken. Thus, there is a special apple catcher that will not only help you gather apples in their best shape, but will reach the top of the world…em…excuse me, the top of your apple tree. Practical and simple! Every apple is saved!

20180804-ANN_8507
A very long stick (you may use your old fishing rod) with plastic flower on the top, huh, do you like it?

Ukrainians crazy about apple jams that are opened during cold winter days. Sweet and tasty jams can remind you of warm and sunny summer days spent in your garden. Do not be lazy, gather apples, wash/cut them, add sugar, boil them a bit, and volla!

One of the most efficient and cheap methods to keep your apples tasty and healthy is to dry them. Let us prepare dried apples. You cannot imagine how delicious dried apples are, especially if you spent a lot of time for slicing them on your own. Extra taste! Genius, isn’t it?

In Ukraine we also make apple purees that are perfectly stored in our freezers. No sugar, no juice, just blended puree in your freezer. No vitamins loss, brilliant!

So, how’s your apple flood? Can you deal with it now?

Looking forward to hearing whether you liked my photoharvesting.

Enjoy your weekend!

Love you all,

Yours Gardener

ANROALISTIC PHOTOJOURNEY TO NIEDERNSILL: FIVE O’CLOCK IN THE MORNING

My dear little Friends,

Thank you, my dear Maverick  and my dear Carole  for your kind comments on my previous post! I was happy to bring you with me!

And my journey goes on…

“Look and think before opening the shutter. The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera (Yousuf Karsh).

Niedernsille-6963

It is only five o’clock in the morning. But my mind revolves as on a pivot. My head is aching strongly as if somebody put something heave on it. I try to lift it from my soft welcoming pillow, but it falls heavily back. My eyelids flicker open to the sunlit room and the morning light trickles in through the blinds. I close my eyelids again. Shedding myself of the remaining glimpses of a dream, my eyes were still shut as I soaked in the warmth of my covers before letting my green eyes see the sun’s rays. The tasks of the day became demanding and I think about them. I slowly turn my head to the clock standing on the night table. I check the time and wondered why I am awake at such an early hour. No sleepiness, no slow warming up. Within seconds of realizing I am on my feet, eyes wide, and dreams not just forgotten but erased. The sleepy girl sits up, drags her feet off the bed, and rubs her knuckles onto her eyes. I watch my legs dangle above the brown old carpet. How oddly exciting I felt when I opened my shutter and saw this view.

The late night I got there by car and saw nothing around me. It was pitch-dark: I couldn’t see my hand before my face. But now I understood that I woke up in the other world. As if I turned my flying machine on and landed on the other planet. Sounds crazy, right? But that’s how I felt. The view was so stunning that I did not trust my eyes. The more I was standing on the porch in my red sleeping gown, the more excitedly my heart bet. I could not believe that such beautiful places exist. Even more I could not believe that I was there and everything what I saw was real. I did not look at the advertising pictures in the travel magazine, I saw them in reality. That’s what traveling gives us, it allows us to discover what this wonderful world has to offer. Just think that you might never see this place, you may never experience the excitement of new things, or never be amazed by simple and yet surprising joys of life. Just think!

Where was your last journey? Do you read travel magazines?

Please make me happy and leave your comments! Remember that you can be featured in my next post!

ANROALISTIC PHOTOJOURNEY TO NIEDERNSILL (INTRODUCTION)

My dear little Friends,

I am excited to announce a new series of posts based on my journal notes made in Alps. Everything I saw, felt, experienced, liked and disliked. Only my thoughts and only for you…

Niedernsille-6977

“When I travel I explore…myself. Curious wanderer. That’s how I would describe myself, my life right now. I have wandering soul hungry for a perfect place, an ideal moment, and a great shot. My wandering soul brought me there. A little village between Austrian Alps is not in the must-visit places, but I found there something that none of famous mountains resorts can offer me…”

And where is your wandering soul this summer?

I appreciate every comment and every like! I write because you read!

Let me know what you think of it?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. The most interesting thought will be rewarded in my every post!

Why women like roses so much? Because of their sweet smell and perfect shape? Or because they have thorns protecting them from rude invaders? Oh my!

rose-14.JPG

Every rose is so unlike the other and yet similar in being pure female, pure fragile and delicate!

rose-26

Every rose is a bunch of layers that needed to be cared for. Go deeper, Honey! Layer by layer, the most interesting is hidden deeply down!

They can be happy or sad! They can laugh and cry! They can brighten this world and darken as well!

A Little Village

AnRoalisticBlog top story

I happened to pay a visit to a little village at the river…

Begin.jpg

The local Hungarians who are lucky to live at the north bank of Danube always said: “Visegrad has the castle, but Nagymaros has the view”.  I totally agree with it.

Nagymaros Photos at Shutterstock

The ferry between Nagymaros and Visegrád, which is in service since May 1890, brought me to the opposite side of Danube. I confess I enjoyed this little river voyage and could not resist making several pictures. The port building – where the restaurant Maros is settled now -was built at the beginning of the 20th century by the shipping company.

Second.jpg

A first reference to the village is in a document from the 13th century when the king joined it to Visegrád, one of the royal residential centers of those days. Today Nagymaros with its more than 4 000 inhabitants and its infrastructure functions as a small center of the area between Vac (the next bigger town) and the Slovakian border.

Every village or city has its main square, Nagymaros is of no exception. FŐ TÉR (or main square in English) looks now almost as 150 years ago. The only missing element in its architectural look, as I heard, is the Casino with a restaurant and hotel rooms, which was destroyed in 1944.

Third New.jpg

I read that the Gothic tower (built in 1509) of the Roman Catholic Church is the only  monument in the Danube bend, which remained from the Middle-Ages. It has its saint who is St Martin, the bishop of Tours (France). He was born in the 4th century in the western part of today’s Hungary and he has been always a very popular saint among Hungarian Catholics. Church is closed, so you may take a look at it only.

Nagymaros Photos at Shutterstock

At the end of my trip around the village I spotted a charming gallery and cafe where I ordered a cup of aromatic cappuccino. There were not too many people, so I chose the table at the terrace where I could enjoy warm sunny weather. I felt happy while sitting at this home-like cafe sipping my sweet drink.

Thank you for joining me!

Many photos from this village can bu purchased via Nagymaros Photos at Shutterstock or later at my gallery Pictorem.

Did you travel recently? Where have you been? What did you see?

I’d love to hear from you!

Hello to you, my Friends! I am happy to see you silently browsing my blog pages. Hope you have some fun. This week our Mother Nature was especially generous for lovely surprises. She met dear Madam Weather and they agreed to have a painting masterclass. Look, what they’ve made:     Frozen Branch

We are very visual creatures.  Our love of images lies with our cognition and ability to pay attention. Images are able to grab our attention easily, we are immediately drawn to them. These are facts know to that two ladies whose pictures are just…help me with a proper adjective please? Comment, comment, comment…

Frozen Field

Don’t be greedy for compliments. These two artists were extremely successful today. Colors, shades, shapes are chosen so elegantly right. My eyes are beaming with pleasure, and yours? Not…hm…then one more image…

dscn0768_li

How odd is that the most beautiful things are most simple ones. They just wondered through that thick trees and enjoyed what they saw. Together with their simple equipment they managed to capture this innocent beauty and show to you. They felt themselves artists who can transform that live images into a picture that can hang on somebody’s wall or be presented as a greeting card. Do not know whether they were enough skillful, but their results are given here and available for download. In case some of you particularly like one of the image (or all of them) and would like to have then in original size or designed for special occasion as a greeting card, you may contact me via comment folder and I’ll provide you with all the required details ( I am their delegated agent). Everything is possible, art has no restrictions and borders. we can always spread it to be able to evaluate and treasure. A nice picture can always cheer you up in any season or weather, right, my Friends?

Have a sweet weekend! Enjoy the simplest!

The Road Waits To Be Explored

My dear little Friends, I am happy to see you browsing through my blog in search of some interesting pictures or stories. It depends on what you are interested more. Hope all of you can find something for themselves. I love hearing your ideas, remarks, experience or wishes, which are always very wisdom and help me a lot. Thank you in advance for being attentive to my funny chatting with you! I appreciate it a lot! Hugely!

Recently I have seized an opportunity to visit one of the family businesses dealing with cheese production. A lovely experience worth of being shared with you, right? I confess I felt very curious about it and even more than it is allowed. It is a known fact that family businesses during good economic times don’t earn as much money as companies with a more dispersed ownership structure. But when the economy slumps, family firms far outshine their peers. While visiting this small cheese business I came almost to the same conclusion. This family has a good place to work and live. Just look at the surroundings shown in the pictures, isn’t it Heaven? Their house is located in the mountain region. It is calm and no fumes. Imagine how cows roam free in this fresh air and graze in lush pastures of tender grass. There is milk in fresh air and what amazing taste it should have. I tasted that cheese and YUM, it was delicious! I bet you would love it. Choice is big and for every caprice. For a short moment I caught myself of being envy of them. I realized that family business is the best venture where everybody works hard and doesn’t waste time for intrigues. Yeah, exactly, in huge corporate office people do only one thing well, they scheme against each other. They are waiting when you mess it up. Everyone tries to find out whether your salary is not bigger than his/her…and that’s only the tip of an iceberg! Family business concentrates mostly on their profits, thus they understand that team work is important. They are oriented at fulfilling their goals and helping each other. It feels good, isn’t it? I confess I would like the same and who won’t? Working hard in the circle of your family and friends seems ideal to me. And for you? Don’t be shy, tell me…please…please!

I suppose I became so involved with this topic that forgot to introduce you my new idea or, better to say, project. My previous posts have been already devoted to postcards I designed, however, I had no idea what to do further with them. Accidentally I came across some website who offers photographers and designers to sell their creations through their internet shops, I did hesitate a lot before making a decision. I am still not sure whether it was a good idea, but I gave it a try. I place my first postcard and greeting designs officially here:http://www.redbubble.com/people/anrostudio/works/22058357-lake-mirroring

And now would like to present them to you!

I kindly (very very) ask you to let me know whether you like them! My initial plan was to sell my postcards at Ebay and deal with shipping on my own, but I faced high shipping prices and thought that prices for postcards won’t be cheaper than those ones at this webshop. Perhaps you know some better, more personal, solution to this problem. I am grateful for any advice! It seems Redbubble starts printing and shipping in time and provides constant notification of your order.

Card Rabbit

You might ask why I decided to deal with such a competitive field where I have almost no chance, I will reply you that my postcards are yet different from usual ones. Bulk greeting cards business is aimed at earning money, while I almost earn no money since webshop does printing and shipping and takes money for it. My cards give me a possibility to release my creative energy and maybe showing you something what you have not seen yet. These cards are designed firstly in my head and only then typed on a screen. It is a long way to implementation of my dreams and projects intended to brighten every singly moment of life, yours and mine. That is my road to be explored and which is yours???

Love you all,

Whity Wonders…

Whity

George Whitey is a serious young rabbit who would like to discover this world and understand how everything works. He is very curious (and not only  about some delicious vegetables served him as a daily meal) about almost everything around him. Ge Whitey is a rabbit whose long ears are able to catch the smallest world vibration, he is usually frustrated by his ability to catch those weird signals, nevertheless, he is intended to use it  for his own sake. That’s why he does not like sitting in his cage for a long time. He likes going out and wondering what’s going on?

Therefore, Ge Whitey wonders why people do eat meat and other strange food. Ge is completely satisfied with his daily menu which includes: a variety of greens such as cabbage/kale/broccoli/parsley/mint (keep in mind that it should be in small amounts to avoid stomach problems), 25g (an eggcup-full) of pellets, carrots and apples (hm, most delicious) and etc. In fact, Whitey believes that healthy green food might help many people loose their extra weight and feel much better.  Hey, fatties did you hear that? Some of you who are afraid to look at the mirrors can take good care of themselves by simply eating more greens. And that’s not too difficult.

Whity and His Girlfriend

Mr Whitey knows that a key to good spirit and happiness is a lovely partner. Whitey wonders why there are loners at this planet, it shouldn’t be, it’s not right. Recently, George met a sweet lady Martha who is the pretties female rabbit in his neighborhood. Unlike people (who think too much of that odd flirt and courtesy rules) Ge just ran to Martha as soon as he saw her and brought her the whole cabbage hidden under his straw bed for special occasions. Martha was so impressed with his gift that she immediately fell in love with him. As it is known the road to rabbit’s heart goes through the master’s garden with delicious cabbage, right, guys!

George Whitey and Martha Bell will go marriage soon as Martha is already in some “interesting state”…woooho, don’t worry, folks, this is the 21st century, let’s take it easier. A wedding ring or a stamp in the passport is not that important. Let’s be honest. Many of the brides wear white innocent dresses due to the fashion only, am I right? Most of them are not so innocent already…please no offense! It is life, Mr Whitey understands that soooo well!

Whity Wonders

In case Ge meets some life problems (there might be not enough carrot in his master’s garden) he tries to go out and even imagine (for a while) that he is a human. It’s quite a promising experiment that might provide you with unexpected results. Whitey thinks that such transplantation (excuse me, transformation) can let your relax and forget your problems. Additionally,  you will try to imagine what other much more serious problems exist in this world and then yours seem already not that serious as before. Do you have any doubts? Then try it…let me know!

Whity Ignores You

Being angry is not the the best state, but Whitey suffers from it quite often.  He usually sits in the way shown in the picture and pretends that he ignores you by showing his little tail. Ge Whitey recommends you to stay away from him and let him cool down. I guess everybody can have such a mood at least once in their life, so don’t disturb each other and you may avoid some storm at a sunny day!

Sometimes Whitey finds difficult to cope with Martha’s caprices. Aw, that women. Who will ever understand them!  Very often Martha is a caring partner who makes their home so cozy. However, when she needs something extraordinary (like an apple juice in the middle of the night), oh my, Whitey pretends to be sleepy and does not respond to her bumps. Martha is also a bit crazy about cleaning, she claims that everything has its own place. Who can blame her for that? Ge although sometimes does not understand her rules of order, he likes to leave things somewhere closer to reach. Not to mention that ladies usually have periods of drastic mood changes, oops, better to be as far as possible and bring her something sweet in order to avoid the waves! No matter of anything, Whitey knows that life is happy only if Martha is somewhere close and chews her greens. He feels content and ready to face all the problems.

Little Whity

Ge Whitey is a smart guy, he is just a rabbit, but his thoughts and ideas sound not bad. I can learn from him a lot. I also like wondering and ask many questions, just sometimes I still get no answers to many of them. Rabbits or humans, we are very different, however, maybe similar at the same time. I am not going to go so deep as to compare our anatomical structures and so on, I prefer looking at Whitey and his family and get some positive energy from them. They seem so funny with their big ears, clumsy jumping and noses poking to everything which looks eatable. They discover this world and wonder why it works in such a complicated, most of the time, strange way. So I also wonder…

Wish you a wondrous day!

Ge Whitey, Martha Bell, and Ann

How I Met a Puppy

Puppy Boni

“I’m convinced that petting a puppy is good luck.”
Meg Donohue, Dog Crazy: A Novel of Love Lost and Found

I think I agree with you, Meg, at least I had such a feeling when I met Boni. The cutest Akita puppy ever. I spent with her a day full of lovely mischievous adventures. A two months puppy who is worse than a baby and even more demanding. She needs your 100% attention and does not get used to any restrictions. She disobeys all rules and puts her upper feet on your legs in an attempt to attract your attention while you are sitting at the table (as in the picture above). Moreover, she barks and shows her voice in case you still go on chewing without recognizing her. Boni looks innocently at you while climbing one of your leg or tasting one of your slippers, or one of your drawer’s handles. She is a sweet little imp energetic 24 hours without charging!

And now you are looking at her dad, serious Mr Yuko Sun! Don’t you find that girls are always similar to their dads? They are, indeed!

“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”
                                                                                                                           Josh Billings

Gucci

Making Yuko Sun’s picture was a real challenge. He doesn’t like posing at all. I was chasing after him. I guess I was pretty lucky when he sat in the bushes and even turned his head to look at me. Perhaps Yuko became rather curious at the lady with a camera pointing at him for so long. Or maybe he even felt pity and decided to give me a chance. His glance is very intense and suspicious a bit. As if asking me: “Lady, what do you want from me?.

“The average dog is a nicer person than the average person.”
                                                                                                                  Andy Rooney

Sleepy Boni.jpg

Boni is a teddy bear especially when she sleeps, which happens very rear. This girl is a source of boundless energy. Take my word, until she is somewhere in a room and her eyes are open, you won’t be able to have your usual lunchtime nap. Forget it. This young lady will bring you something to play or will try to jump to you and start poking her tiny wet nose everywhere. Be aware that puppies after playing or being too active like drinking water and as well-mannered ladies will try to wipe their wet mouth with …not a napkin as everybody usually do, but your shirt’s sleeve. Adorable little lady!

“Petting, scratching, and cuddling a dog could be as soothing to the mind and heart as deep meditation and almost as good for the soul as prayer.”
                                                                                        Dean Koontz, False Memory

Let's Play

Also Boni as her dad likes looking at the mirror. They are those dandies. They are very proud of being certified Akita. Yuko Sun is the champion of many dog’s competitions. He often goes abroad to show people how handsome and smart he is. Although, owners of Akita cannot boast about their being obedient. I heard that Akitas have their own character and may not follow your commands. They are incredibly intelligent and loyal dogs though, and are loving, devoted and gentle towards their master and family. The Akita is also known to be a good guard dog as it is very suspicious of any person or animal that it doesn’t know.Akitas consider making eye contact as a form of challenge for dominance. That’s I felt and you?

The Akita  first bred in Japan in the 1600s. The Akita originates from the Akita Prefecture in the north-east of Japan, hence it’s name. During ancient times, mothers in Japan relied heavily on their pet Akitas to take care of their very young children. While mothers worked the fields, their pets played nanny to the children at home.

“Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made. ”
Roger A. Caras

Gucci In the Bushes

Yuko Sun’s and Boni’s masters seem to be the happiest people, at least, that’s what I saw while looking at them. A big family where dogs play even more important role.  I was lucky to meet the Akita puppy and her dad! Dogs are our best friends!

I was smiling while writing this post, hope you can join me and smile in reply!

Happy smiling day!

Yours Ann
