Friday Evening Before Christmas

Friday Evening

Dear Friends, I suppose your last working week before Christmas holidays was extremely busy. Christmas shopping that drives you crazy because lady in a blue hat took the last porcelain set of cups what you have already thought of to buy for your mom or because another lady in big glasses and pink shoes took the last toy railroad or Barbie, which your son  or daughter dreamt of. Your gifts list is still too long, Christmas tree is standing naked without any lights and decoration, you feel a bit guilty since Christmas green-ladies cannot be left without diamonds…Beth Taylor always thought that “Big girls need big diamonds”and you absolutely agree with her.

Moreover, you do not have all ingredients for Christmas dinner, your hubby did not do shopping today – he went for Christmas party with colleagues and drank more then his body can survive…

So how about Friday going out?  Leave everybody and everything as it is and relax, you definitely deserved it. I guess a comedy play in one of local theaters can be a good choice?

Let us relax today and enjoy Friday evening several days before Christmas! Do you feel excited? I do…every time I am in the Holy Place of Art…

The third bell rang and spectators took their seats…although some of them are chewing their sandwich in the buffet… Hey, dude, actors are already behind the curtain and wait for you. A reminder that Mobile phones should also be turned of has already been pronounced…show time!!!

Yours Ann

  1. I’ve done a nice mix of shopping and preparation/socialising so far. 🙂 Feeling a little jaded this afternoon but that’s because, like hubby, I overindulged at a ‘girl’s night’ last night. Crime doesn’t pay 🙂 Have a wonderful Christmas, Ann!

  2. I’m reading this a little late to comment on whether things are ready for Christmas. It’s too bad if they aren’r because it’s Christmas Eve already! Out 6 foot tree has been decorated for almost a week, so is far from naked. Our shopping is don, present wrapped, and we have all we need for Christmas dinner tomorrow, Yes, it has been a busy week, and I still have baking to do, I never make my mince pies until Christmas Eve, and I have various desserts to make later on. Our turket awaits cooking in the morming, but this afternoon our big ham will be roasted.
Your evening at the theatre sounds brilliant, and an excellent way to unwind. Your Christmas tree looks very pretty, too. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

    1. This post was written in a bit humorist style, I wanted to look at Christmas, sometimes too busy, preparations from other point of you. Often people are too busy and hard-working that they forget to enjoy the moment that never comes back…why not to sit and relax! Thank you, Millie, so glad to know you keep everything under control! I am so lucky to have such a nice Friend! Christmas is about sharing and spending time with family and friends. It’s about creating happy memories with those you love! Merry Christmas to you and your family! Hugs!.
