Fields of Tulips

Tulip's Steps

A new working week has just started and Friday seems a long way away. We all are a bit moody and sleepy. So, I would like to cheer you up and share with you some of my new photos.

Life in big cities is very hectic.  Everybody is in a hurry, traffic is awful, air is full of fumes. If you can find a park or just a land of nature, everything else disappears. You can hide here.

That’s what I exactly did.

Tulip's Pattern

I found my peace of mind between fields of tulips. Funny colorful flowers made me so relaxed.

Field of TulipsTheir beauty blinded me. They were so different and so gracious. Colors – so intense and sparkling.

I realized that you do not need to go to Holland to enjoy tulips. You can do it right here in the center of my Kiev.

Tulips in StripsThe only thing that frustrated me was a pretty strange behavior of some people. Girls were trying to place their slim buttocks in the center of flower beds while posing in front of cameras. Ok, I do get that they will look pretty among tulips, but what harm can be done to flowers.  What if everybody does like that, nothing will be left after. We have to follow some rules and we shall appreciate the work done.  So, please let’s enjoy this beauty with care!

Tulip's Glade

While looking at these gorgeous flowers, I found out that I don’t know much about them. So, I made a study.

The English word tulip is derived from a Persian word, delband, which means turban. They look exactly like turbans.

Tulip Girls

They actually originated in Central Asia, including Turkey, where the tulip is the national flower.

Tulip flowers are considered to be a symbol of perfect lovers, their passion, love, romanticism and dreaminess.

Tulips are used for making flower bouquets as well as other floral arrangements. In fact, they form an integral and important part of wedding decoration.

When I found out that Tulips are edible I was very surprised.
They add striking beauty, color, and fragrance to many dishes when creatively used. In the Dutch famine of 1944 , people often resorted to eating sugar beets and tulips. Can you imagine? But I know that when there is nothing to eat, you can eat almost everything. I just do hope that we shouldn’t chop this beauty to our salad.

Lonely Girl
Tulips are like people, they need care and attention. They absorb love from us. They are opening their heads to sun in the same manner as people trying to catch the sunlight during warm spring days.

Tulips are inspiring.  They inspire us to think about something very sweet…

A Tricky Path to Success

Road to Success

Everybody has its own path to success… it is very stony one, full of twists, pits and sharp angles…sometimes I wonder why it can not be smooth and straight as a highway…how easier everything can be, however, then we might not appreciate it and enjoy it, so there should be a fair price for it. As it is said easy come, easy go. We have to work hard to achieve our goals. Sometimes even jump over our heads. But it’s worth doing it.

My personal big goals are not achieved yet, I am even not sure I can ever get closer to them, since I am lack of knowledge and talent. However, here I can share with you something personal and even can do something of which I usually only dreamt of. Here I can share with you different thoughts and meet new people. It looks like a great chance to me.  I may even say that it’s a small part of my dream. I like discovering this world. Everything looks so interesting. You seem interesting for me. Every person who has a blog here is a very unique and special one. Here every of you discovers something new in yourself. Here you may tell something which you do not dare to say among your friends and relatives. I can call it a platform of honesty, where you are only you, you should not pretend anything. Here we can even try to make our biggest dreams come true, at least for some time. Isn’t it awesome?

No one is going to hand me success. I must go out & get it myself. That’s why I’m here. To dominate. To conquer. Both the world, and myself. Let’s do it! Let’s build our own dreams!

Nature Observer: Magnolia

We are all the observers by nature, we like watching and like being curious. We like seeing something new and being surprised. That’s what exactly happening with me when I see nature. Mother Nature always makes me wonder, I cannot understand why everything in our life is not as perfect as nature…why we have to face something ugly or just not pretty…or maybe even ugly looks pretty for someone…because everything is created by nature, so there can not be not pretty, sometimes Mother Nature can make some mistakes and it won’t look so nice. However, when magnolia trees are in bloom, we can definitely say that Mother Nature did her best. Just look at it…

Just Beginning

I feel myself very lucky because I had a unique opportunity to trace the process of blooming from the beginning. I felt a bit crazy, every day I was walking to these trees and waiting for their birth. It’s an amazing experience. It made me feel as happy as a baby who’s got a new toy. Childish, isn’t it? I was patient with them and they lived up to my expectations.

White Queen

I was honored to share with them their spring birth.

They look gorgeous, they look like sweet brides in their perfect white gowns. Colors around them were dazzling, I have to be careful not to be blind from their beauty. Sweet little brides, so fresh and innocent!

First in my life I felt that I received a new role. I became a nature observer and you know what I have never been more excited. So, from now and on I have a special mission, I should observe and share with you my thoughts. We have no right to miss anything, even the slightest thing. This world is so huge and so unknown, we have to pick up everything and enjoy it, don’t you agree?

By the way, on the way to blooming garden I met funny birds, they were quite busy.

Also, I had to stop for a moment to catch small blue babies, who hided between big flowers. They are so cute!

Blue Babies

And then suddenly my breath was caught…

We were here, perfect place where sun was smiling at you and colors changing every second. I needed to catch my perfect moment…

For some minutes you could feel yourself transformed and even hypnotized by pure beauty…

Coloring Blue sky and traveling fluffy clouds, green fresh grass and white magnolia, only Nature can draw such perfect picture. Everything was in a right place, a perfect moment of peace and joy!

However, what do we know about magnolia, not much I guess. Indeed, I also do not know much. So, I decided to provide some interesting facts about these magnificent flowers. Did you know that the name Magnolia was named after the French botanist, Pierre Magnol. Some magnolia trees can live to be 100 years old or longer. In the Victorian language of flowers, magnolias represent dignity and splendid beauty, I can definitely agree with that.

Magnolia trees originate from Southeast Asia and North America, but they have been naturalized to almost all continents in the world because of their beauty. Flower of magnolia has pleasant scent that resembles the smell of tropical fruit. Magnolias are ancient plants. They exist on the planet at least 95 million years. Since they appeared before bees, magnolias slowly changed their flowers to become more attractive to bees (to ensure successful pollination). Magnolia produces cone-like brownish fruit that can reach 2 to 10 inches in length. Kidney-shaped seed can be red, orange or pink in color. Seed of magnolia is favorite food of many birds.

Little ParadiseI believe I can look at them endlessly and sill will wonder how nature can create something as perfect as these fabulous trees.

Maybe here I should make a break and let you enjoy the view! Just sit in a shadow and dream…

Words are not necessary here, you can just feel…I don’t know how about you but I had a goose skin!

It was a real pleasure for me to share with you my observations.

See you soon!

Fluffy and Others

Orthodox Easter holidays are over and we need to go back to work. But before diving into piles of papers at your table let me tell with you a story about Fluffy!

At this weekend I had a nice opportunity to go to the countryside. Ohh, I enjoyed it so much.  There are no traffic, no fumes, no queues or angry people, and etc. Here is another life, not the same one we get used to. Sometimes we need to get out from big megalopolises and explore a new world. Where everything works in a different way.

Here you can just relax and drift away… You see another picture here and you hear completely different sounds. Reality freezes here, daily routine doesn’t exist. You shouldn’t rush or make quick decisions. Nature accepts you as you are with all your caprices.

Eas3Look at water and find peace in your mind.  Clean your soul and body!

It does not matter where you look, every view is breathtaking. You can only let out so many sighs before you start to feel a little bit faint…

Pictures you are looking at this moment I made on the way to granny. She lives outside city and never regrets changing her city lifestyle into countryside.  She has a very funny cat called Fluffy, whom I promised to introduce. So, here comes Fluffy, be ready to applause!

Fluffy is not a simple cat, he is a very specific one. He has his own character and he’s wild a bit. You never know what he has on his mind. He spends most of his time outside and walks everywhere, he likes chasing after mice and other animals, he protects his territory and fights very often.  You can see from his face that he has been participated in many street battles.  However, there are situation that get out of Fluffy’s control, then he should climb a tree.

Yep, Fluffy and Tobic do not get on well. Tobic is also a wild dog, I mean he changes owners every 10 minutes.  He can be here and there, it depends who gives more food. However, he doesn’t forget to check all the other food plates. Fluffy doesn’t like this idea so much.  They live together like cat and dog!

Fluffy likes sleeping, he can be so lazy as I am, we are similar with him. When he sleeps, he is able to take amazing poses.  He just enjoys sun and warm concrete.  He is quite a sociable man, he likes company. However, he is not so fond of patting. Sometimes he hides somewhere in bushes and when you walk he can jump and bite your ankles. This means that he is not satisfied with something. He doesn’t like to be alone, if there is nobody at home, Fluffy also goes out in search of some adventures.

Our pets can make our life brighter, they give us new emotions and feelings. As it is said pets devour the loneliness. They give us purpose, responsibility, a reason for getting up in the morning, and a reason to look to the future. They ground us, help us escape the grief, make us laugh, and take full advantage of our weakness by exploiting our furniture, our beds, and our refrigerator. We wouldn’t have it any other way. Pets are our seat belts on the emotional roller coaster of life-they can be trusted, they keep us safe, and they sure do smooth out the ride!

Rose Bushes Meditation

I know that many of you have already celebrated Easter last Sunday, however, I belong to those christians who celebrate Easter this week, so today we have a Holy Friday. As you know Holy Friday is a very special day. On this day Christians commemorate the passion, or suffering, and death on the cross of the Lord, Jesus Christ. We spend this day in fasting, prayer, repentance, and meditation on the agony and suffering of Christ on the cross. So, I offer you to meditate with me. What usually help you to relax, except alcohol and other stuff? I believe that everybody has its own way of relaxation. If you read my previous posts, you might guess that I like walking in parks, yeah, this is my way of relaxation. And remember that today is Friday, which means that weekend is looming, and you are waiting for it. So, let’s enjoy today’s sunny weather and explore something uknown. Let me introduce you rose bushes…

Rod1Did you recognize them? Yep, let us welcome Its Majesty Rhododendron…in its full bloom…so beautiful, so gentle and so glamour!

I peeped into Flower Encyclopedia and found out that the name Rhododendron comes from the greek words “rodon” which means “rose” and “dendron” which means “tree”, hence Rose Tree. Rhododendrons are referred to as the King of Shrubs since they are regarded by many as the best flowering evergreen plants for the temperate landscape. Rhododendron was discovered by The 16th century Flemish botanist, Charles l’Ecluse. Interesting isn’t it? I liked looking at these flowers, they make me curious and eager to touch them, however, they are pretty tricky flowers. All the parts of Rhododendrons are dangerous, especially leaves, showing symptoms of Stomach irritation, abdominal pain, abnormal heart rate and rhythm, convulsions, coma, death. Honey made from the nectar of Rhododendron flowers is also toxic and should not be consumed.

Tt can be concluded that they dead drop gorgeous, ain’t I right? They are coward like a devil, their beauty makes us blind…well, my thoughts went into a wrong direction, please excuse me.

We came here to find some peace in our mind, so let’s concentrate on it. Even as dangareous as these flowers can be, they make us feel good. They inspire us and show us that this world is so fantastic. While looking at them I cought myself smiling and relaxed. And what about you? You don’t feel relaxed yet, then maybe one more picture…I stop talking and let you enjoy it, just close your eyes…

Happy Colors

I have never thought that I can be amazed by flowers, but it happened, when I found these cute little flowers I was happy as a kid who got a big chocolate. These sweet babies were hiding from me, so it took some time until I found them. I became a real flower hunter. Have you ever heard about it?

When I saw them, I forgot about everything, like the whole world didn’t exist, only small flowers who were looking curiously at me. They wondered who this girl is and what does she do with her big camera.  If you look at me at that moment you could see a pure concentration, I was looking into camera and didn’t notice anything. I needed a perfect shot. Well, I am not a professional photographer, so some drawbacks might be observed, but I did it with passion.

Flowers are alive, so they can think and feel, of course, not like human beings, but in their own way. Sometimes I wonder what they think about today, what they discuss between each other. Aren’t you curious?

Some amazing stories can be made in our heads. We can imagine what the life of flowers looks like. Hm, it will remain a secret, however, we still can feel some energy arising from them!

Looking at them and smelling them made us smile. This is one of the best positive energy sources. Somehow I feel very right when I am catching some good photo of them. I can be lack of this in my routine life, but they can change it at once.

Beautiful flowers, fantastic colors and positive mood, let’s make our day special!

Opps, I’ve Gained Some Weight

I think I’ve gained extra kilos. I look a bit fatty! Interesting whether my picture can be still popular, I surely do not meet the ideal model size requirements! And who cares, I do look pretty!

Most people pet on an extra kg during the winter months, it’s natural. So, do not judge me strictly. Yeah, in this picture I do look a bit fattier than usual, but who can tell me that he/she has not gained some extra kilos during winter. Hmm, honestly? Have you already tried your tight mini-skirts? Don’t you feel that belt is tighter than you wanted it to be. Then, quickly to gym!
